what to expect at flow state bodywork

What to Expect at Flowstate

Your session is meant to be a pause. A space for your body and nervous system to soften, release, and remember balance.

Here’s what you can expect when you come in:

Arrival

Please arrive close to the start time of your appointment and text Sarah upon arrival.. Once inside, we’ll take a moment to talk about what’s present for your body—any areas of tension, pain, or emotional weight you’re carrying—and what you’re hoping to receive from the session.

During Your Session

Each session is tailored to your body’s needs and pace. Using a blend of techniques—like myofascial release, gentle or deeper massage, and craniosacral therapy—Sarah works slowly and intentionally, with attuned pressure to help your system release and recalibrate.

You don’t need to “do” anything. Some clients talk, some rest quietly, some drift into deep relaxation. All of it is welcome.

After Your Session

You may leave feeling lighter, taller, calmer, or more connected. Some clients notice a wave of emotional release, or simply a deeper sense of ease that unfolds over hours or days. We’ll give you space to ground before heading back into your day.

What to Wear & Other Notes

  • For massage sessions, you’ll be draped with sheets and blankets, undressing to your comfort level.

  • For craniosacral or lighter work, you’ll remain fully clothed in comfortable attire.

  • This is a trauma-sensitive, LGBTQIA+ affirming space.

Your only job is to arrive as you are.
The work will meet you there.
